The Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University (UK) promotes the principles and practice of Raja Yoga meditation through educational programmes, events, projects and publications. Bringing together people of all religious, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, the University encourages the development of the spiritual dimension in life and with it a sense of well-being, dignity and self-reliance. Across the UK the Brahma Kumaris work with national and local organisations and community groups in a variety of areas, including: inter-religious dialogue, youth programmes, prison outreach, social work and women's and men's groups. BKWSU (UK) was established as a UK charity in 1975 (Registered Charity No. 269971). As a service to the community the University charges no fees for any of its activities, being funded by voluntary contributions. The University is part of a worldwide network of over 8,500 centres in more than 100 countries, the first of which was founded in India
in the 1930s.
We offer courses in Raja Yoga Meditation and Positive Thinking also one day events covering such topics as Dealing with Anger, Self Esteem, Inner Leadership as well as One Day Retreats on a monthly basis. Our monthly talks cover a wide range of spiritual topics these are held in Brighton, Hove, Crawley, Tunbridge Wells, Eastbourne and Worthing. All our events are offer free of charge.
